Tutoring and Teaching Experience

I have tutored students in writing, reading, history, literature, test prep, college applications, study skills, and executive functioning since 2015. My students have ranged from middle school to graduate school and have included non-native English speakers as well as students with IEPs and 504s. 

Following a departmental training in lecturing program, I delivered a lecture to Oxford undergraduates about my doctoral research as part of a lecture series on new approaches to historical research. 

I prepared discussion questions and materials to guide students through seminar discussion each week, adjusting the direction of discussion as students brought up new points and perspectives. I tailored my teaching to a diverse group of international students, which formed the basis of my Developing Learning and Teaching certification portfolio.
